DRAFTSMAN- Draftsman uses CAD systems to create and support designs for parts and assemblies in Hotforming and Machining facilities. This position works closely with the team of Process and Tool Design Engineers.


  • Create process drawings for new product

  • Assign tool numbers, enter into MRP system

  • Create Bill of Materials

  • May occasionally design automation to integrate multiple machines

  • Responsible for creating and maintaining plant layout drawings

  • Participate in process review for new product quotation process

  • Modeling product, design progressions and calculate weights

  • Follow Engineering work instruction documents

  • Use, maintain and control shared drawing database making appropriate documents up-to-date and available to others

  • Complete CMP's (Change Management Process) and ECN's (Engineering Change Notices) for change management as needed

  • Provide support to manufacturing departments for print updates

  • Have an understanding of quality systems and is familiar with TS-16949, APQP, FMEA, Control Plans

  • Responsible for IMDS (International Material Data System) submission & database


  • Associate's degree in drafting/engineering or related field.

  • Strong CAD skills in AutoCAD 2D and SolidWorks 3D

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools

  • Effective communication skills

  • 1 or more years of experience
