Position Description

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES The Terminal Supervisor is responsible for the oversight and management of delivery terminals and associated facilities of Kinder Morgan Midwest Terminals, under the direction of the Terminal Superintendent. He/she ensures safe, efficient, and economical operation and general maintenance of the terminal(s) SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Coordinates and supervises the performance of Terminal Operators at designated locations and reports to the Terminal Superintendent. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES - Supervise Terminal Operators - Develop and maintain work schedule for all operators - Monitor overtime - Training of new hires - Maintain terminal supplies - Approve and code invoices - Maintain inventories. - Monitor pipeline delivery schedules (work with schedulers) and customers delivery schedules - Regulatory inspections - Schedule product transfers and receipts from customers. - Monthly tank inspections and regulatory requirements - Perform terminal operations on an as-needed basis including, but not limited to product receipts, rack maintenance/troubleshooting, tank gauging, product sampling and testing, and general maintenance activities.

Position Requirements

EDUCATION - High School Diploma or equivalent EXPERIENCE, SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS - Sufficient terminals related experience to effectively work as the Terminal Supervisor. - Must have experience with and knowledge and understanding of procedures involved in operating and maintaining liquid terminal facilities, including knowledge of regulatory requirements. Must demonstrate initiative and self-motivation - Must have organizational skills to handle a variety of matters simultaneously - Must be able to accept direction and supervision and work effectively and cooperatively with people - Must possess a valid drivers license COMPETENCIES/SKILLS - Must have good reading and basic computer skills (Word, Excel, email) - Must be able to effectively communicate, orally and in writing, with coworkers, contractors, government officials and Senior Management WORKING CONDITIONS Must be able to be on call and report as needed and be able to work extended hours as required in emergencies, equipment or service interruptions, and/or other related circumstances.
