Volt is looking for a to work on-site with our customer as a Dangerous Goods Coordinator. In this unique role, you will have the opportunity to be a resource to the Dangerous Goods Compliance team. This is a contingent role forecasted for two years in Moline, IL. This role helps assure that Dangerous Transportation meets state and federal guidelines in transportation. You would be working with a group that is passionate about that mission!
Administrative resource to support enterprise Dangerous Goods Transportation compliance team. Assist with SharePoint management, product data collection and documentation of processes.
Maintains Dangerous Goods classification database systems, applications or files, ensuring the integrity of the data within multiple, internal systems and resolves issues relating to database information.
Compiles and provides information for Dangerous Goods Specialist to classify new parts using data from searches of Deere Information Systems, direct requests to Suppliers and requests of internal engineering community.
Administers and maintains Enterprise Dangerous Good SharePoint sites that serve as a resources for all employees and for unit Dangerous Goods Coordinators, respectively.
Serves as liaison between customers and Dangerous Goods department to ensure responsiveness to customer and business needs (customers = Dangerous Goods coordinators and their managers).
Proofreads, formats and publishes procedures, bulletins and other documentation to internal SharePoint, adhering to established standards and guidelines
Gathers and summarizes data from various sources in order to complete reports and specials projects
Proficient in SharePoint, MS Office Suite-including Excel.
Candidates must be detail oriented.
They must be persistence, and assertive while maintaining professionalism.
Comfortable reviewing technical information (ie product specifications)
