Title: Industrial Hygienist - 41090

Your Responsibilities

As an Industrial Hygienist for John Deere in East Moline, IL, you will assist the industrial hygienists in the IH department by providing a fundamental level of industrial hygiene specific technical support and guidance within the IH department and John Deere facilities. In addition, you will:

  • Manage the maintenance and calibration of all IH equipment.

  • Assist in conducting surveys and sampling as requested.

  • Help analyze sample data from IH assessments.

  • Make recommendations in order to identify, prevent, correct and control chemical or physical hazards.

  • Compile required information (data, documentation, correspondence) to determine requirements and communicate with units to ensure compliance with company standards, governmental regulations, and consensus standards.

  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of emerging issues related to industrial hygiene and applicable regulations.

What Skills You Need

  • Experience calibrating and maintaining Industrial Hygiene Equipment

  • Experience using I.H. equipment and conducting an exposure assessment survey

  • Experience applying Industrial Hygiene Sampling methods

  • Investigation skills and experience to determine root cause and conduct trend analysis from data

  • Experience with Industrial Hygiene company related policies, regulatory agency regulations, and consensus standards

  • Experience using standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office, basic data management software, intranet, and internet functions

  • Experience with manufacturing processes and factory operations

  • Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally up to 25% and the ability to work off shifts as needed to support the business

  • Experience in Industrial Hygiene

Education (or equivalent work experience)

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering/Technology, or related discipline.
