Per Mar Security Services - Fire Alarm Inspector/Entry level position
The primary function of this position is to provide reliable, high quality customer support through on-site maintenance, inspection and preventive services performed on all fire & security equipment.
Perform fire protection inspections and preventive maintenance services on client Fire Alarm Systems.
Maintain professionalism with customers ensuring problem resolution in a timely manner.
Communicate effective and organized technical information and support to clients.
Utilize resources and materials to assure efficient execution of all assigned tasks.
Monitor and assure the progress and completion of assigned tasks.
Complete and submit all required task-related, activity, productivity, and other documentation in a timely manner.
Be proficient at and train other less senior inspectors how to follow and maintain a highly structured inspection schedule.
Other duties as assigned and pertinent to the position.
Must be able to obtain specified license to perform work in the security industry according to the rules and regulations prescribed by the State in which the branch operates.
Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
Must be able to obtain NICET level certification within a prescribed time frame.
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Degree in electronics or related field is preferred.
Previous experience preferred in inspections and fire alarm systems is required.

Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence.
Must be able to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Must be able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Strong customer service focus/skills a must.
Must have excellent organizational skills, be detail-oriented, and be able to handle multiple tasks.
