Job Description
Volt has an opening for a Quality Engineer to work in Davenport, IA on-site with our customer in the manufacturing and agricultural industry. This position will be supporting factory operations of the 4 wheel drive cab assembly. Key responsibilities will include:
The Quality Engineer provide Manufacturing Quality Engineer support for an assembly line that is running.
Works with suppliers, material flow groups making sure they have materials on line.
Troubleshooting issues, supporting assembly operations.
Working with internal manufacturing team to resolve process issues.
Process verifications, process analysis, etc. primarily resolving purchase part issues.
Support CI from Quality standpoint by providing PFMEA’s.
Score/analyze risk and resolve risk.
Responding to process and part quality issues to ensure robust and effective assembly operations and delivery of high quality cabs to the vehicle line.
Own data analysis of cab internal quality data to support project ideation and corrective actions.
Will be required to maintain and update quality documentation for the cab line to support operator work instructions.
Ability to work and prioritize in a fast-paced environment are critical for success in this position.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering, Science, or Technology related discipline or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 1 year of experience. Prefer experience from a factory environment or someone who has worked in an engineering discipline. Internships are acceptable as experience.
Proven Communication Skills, need someone who can communicate with the shop floor, engineering and management.
Candidate must be result driven and have strong prioritization skill, need someone who can work independently and complete projects following the problem resolution methodology.
Experience working in a team environment, candidate will be accountable to a team and be able to hold other team members accountable to ensure we are able to meet our quality goals
Candidate should be able to respond to issues, have enough motivation and self-direction to resolve issues on their own without needing a lot of direction from manager.
