Primary Job Responsibilities
Manage the Jacobs HSE program at a client’s facility for a sustaining services contract
Serve as the Jacobs HSE resource for technical interpretation of health, safety and environmental regulatory requirements
Support HSE initiatives and promote the Beyond Zero culture.
Provide support to the employees by maintaining a visible presence in the field
Communicate, coach and assist project leadership to ensure HSE expectations are understood and met
Work without appreciable direction
Audit worksite and observe employees to determine compliance with respective HSE policies and procedures
Prepare reports of audit findings to include recommendations for corrective actions
Prepare and maintain records, reports and correspondence relative to the job
Develop and deliver HSE training to ensure regulatory and procedural compliance
Assess HSE program performance and identify trends through data analysis
Facilitate incident investigations with project leadership to determine root cause and corrective action
Coordinate injury case management per established protocols

Ability to wear fall protection equipment
Lifting requirements are limited to 50 pounds
Must be alert to equipment and machinery in the field
Ability to walk on uneven ground
Ability to work in hot and cold weather environments
Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing a safety program
Bachelor’s degree in HSE related field preferred
Professional designation such as CHST, OHST, CSP
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications
This position will be located in Clinton, Iowa
Local candidates preferred
